Pilot's Peak

Penn Valley, CA

 

 

Pilot's Peak got it's name during World War 2, as the pilots used to use it for a landmark to land their planes at Beale Air Force Base.   These days there  is a cell tower on it, and you can hike to the top (about 45 minutes)  and enjoy some very impressive views.  Pictures of a hike in 2010 are below.
